香港的兒童常被喻打機低頭族，父母對子女沉迷於網絡世界似乎亦無能為力，又想不出其他方法取代，但美國德州有父母卻用上時間，教育兒子背聖經金句，而且效果顯著。
美國德州有教會挑戰父母鼓勵孩子背誦經文代替打機。「基督教今日報」報導，一對父母教導兒子泰納（Tanner Hemness）背誦以英文26個字母為首的經文列表，而泰納當時只有3歲半，父母初時覺得他可能無法背完全部經文。
泰納的父親漢姆斯稱，當他看到教會發給他的經文列表，連「耶穌哭了」最短的金句都不在其中，他認為孩子沒有可能做得到。不過漢姆斯仍嘗試，「在廚房黑板上，一次寫上一節金句，陪著孩子一起背誦；每增加一節，我他就要求他從字母A開始背，直到他熟記所有金句。」
最後泰納以個6星期，用了一個暑假的時間，就把A到Z的26節金句都背起來，漢姆斯表示：「這真的超乎我的想像！我真的很以兒子為榮。」

泰納完整背誦金句的可愛影片更在網絡被網友瘋傳，短短6天，影片就被網友分享超過40萬次，累積超過3,200萬觀看次數。
